Light-Based Technologies (LBT)

Light-Based Technologies (LBT) (www.lightbasedtechnologies.com) has developed and is commercializing a unique control technology for light-emitting diodes (LED) in the solid-state lighting industry. Currently, LED is only a small part of the US $75 billion global lighting market. With new regulations coming in 2012 in Europe and Canada the use of inefficient  incandescent light bulbs will be phased out. This regulation change will dramatically increase the penetration of LED as a lighting source in both residential and commercial applications.

LBT’s solution to this challenge is not the light source itself, but the control and manipulation of the light source. LBT has patented a circuit chip that original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can use in the LED systems they build for residential and commercial consumers. LBT’s patented technology is a low-cost solution that makes LED systems simpler and easier to use.
